Type 2 diabetes is a disorder in which your body is not able to produce enough insulin or the cells fail to sense the presence of insulin. Although in response to this, your pancreas may produce more insulin, eventually your pancreas becomes exhausted and stop producing insulin completely.
It is the most common form of diabetes and is generally more common in middle-aged and older people.
