Common signs and symptoms of PCOS include • Menstrual Disorders: Amenorrhea (no menstrual periods), and other menstrual irregularities, such as menstrual intervals longer than 35 days, fewer than eight menstrual cycles a year, failure to menstruate for four months or longer, and prolonged periods that may be scanty or heavy may occur.

1. Infertility:

It generally results from chronic anovulation (lack of ovulation).

2. High Levels of Male Hormones (Androgens):

The most common signs are facial and body hair (hirsutism), adult acne or severe adolescent acne, and male-pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia).

3. Metabolic Syndrome:

This is due to a tendency towards obesity and other symptoms associated with insulin resistance.
