IControlMyHealth, Inc. (ICMH) is a non-profit 501c(3) charitable healthcare organization with a passion to improve people’s health by modeling healthier lifestyle, education, behavioral change programs, and peer support initiatives.
Our belief is that we can change the trajectory of health in our nation by making change right in our neighborhoods and communities, one person at a time. To accomplish this, all our initiatives focus on three key pillars - health education, behavioral change programs, and building a network of "change agents."
We provide Health Education by delivering talks at heath and disease prevention events, disseminating important research and news, writing health blogs, and utilizing social media to create awareness.
We deliver Behavior Change Programs within our communities to assist motivated individuals adopt healthier lifestyles and reduce the risk of chronic illnesses. We are recognized by CDC to deliver diabetes prevention programs (DPP). In addition, we offer regular yoga classes in the community.
Our final pillar of building a network of "change agents" entails identification of individuals who exemplify healthy lifestyle. These role models within our communities, IControlMyHealth Ambassadors, are at the forefront of our mission and are an important link to trigger change within the communities. These Ambassadors help family members, friends, and neighbors to move a little more, eat a little healthier, and change their sedentary lifestyle.
Through a combination of education, behavior change programs, and a network of change agents, we believe, our families, friends, communities, and nation will be healthier, happier, and more prosperous.
The vision of IControlMyHealth is to make people healthier by disease prevention and effective management. Through this we want to positively contribute to the overall well being, improve the quality of life, reduce healthcare costs, and ultimately make this world a better place to live.
