What is Asthma?
Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease that mainly affects your lungs. Asthma causes recurring periods of breathlessness, coughing, and wheezing. The coughing often occurs at night or early in the morning. The severity and frequency of symptoms varies from person to person.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in US approximately 25.9 million people including almost 7.1 million children have asthma. Asthma is considered as one of the most common serious chronic diseases of childhood.
